About Us What motivates us?

We started in the city of Matamoros, Coahuila, sheltering 5 children who were severely abused, offering them a home, security, care, and education.

In 2010, due to multiple factors such as regional insecurity and the integration of a new Board of Directors, the process for our relocation to the city of Torreón, Coahuila, was initiated, successfully increasing the shelter capacity to 20 children.

The Board of Directors, together with the Abrázame team
we began to develop a project in which the goal was to have our own facilities.

It was not until September 20, 2018, that the first stone was laid for what would become our new facilities.

In October 2020, we moved to our new home, a project created and led by Ara. Luiser Gómez.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need arose to provide each child with a recreational space, in addition to the fact that their legal status prevents them from leaving the shelter. It is our responsibility to offer them a recreational space that guarantees their right to rest and recreation.

On October 3, 2022, the inauguration party of Casa Hogar Abrázame was held.

The Board of Directors of the Children’s Home is made up of nine women committed to the protection and holistic development of children. Through their professional experience, leadership, and social commitment, the Board defines the institution’s vision, oversees management, and promotes the transparent use of resources. Their work strengthens the mission of the children’s home, ensuring a safe and dignified environment grounded in values of care, equity, and social responsibility.

The Operations Team of the Children’s Home it is made up of the director, coordinators, and direct operational staff, who work collaboratively to ensure comprehensive care for the children. The director leads the institution’s management and ensures the fulfillment of its mission; the coordinators oversee and organize key areas of care; and the operational staff provide daily care, guidance, and emotional support. Together, the team fosters a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that promotes the holistic development and well-being of each resident.
